What happens to students who apply to an Art College, but don't get accepted to one?

I'm currently a freshman at a community college in NYC and the school that i am currently in doesn't have the major I want to be in. Neither do the other community colleges. I went to a fashion based high school but majored in Art and i wanted to major in Illustration, in college. My senior year in high school i applied to several art schools such as Parsons, SVA, FIT, and Pratt. but due to my grades i didn't get in to any of them. So i applied to a community college hoping to get my grades up. but... i have the freshman dilemma, where i want to just give up. I'm not in the school i want to be in and it shows on my grades.... what do i do? I've been taking several art courses such as Art History (which i adore) but other students in my class find it to be extremely dull... which makes me feel awful because i can't share the same enthusiasm for something that i love with other people. Lately I've been feeling a bit depressed and have even stopped drawing since the start of college. My mother says i have lost my Muse... have i? what do i do to get it back? what happens to other people that are in my same position?
