How can I make Almond Butter thicker, so I can use it as a filling in puff pastry?

I bought a jar of almond butter at Cosco to use it as a filling for puff pastry. To my surprise. it is very runny and the butter is on the top of the jar. I will need to mix it with something that makes it thicker, otherwise when I bake it, it will run out of the pastry. What would you mix it with? Maybe some simple vanilla cookie broken into small pieces would work? Any suggestion....
